I thought it was purrdy from a distance...

How do you get rid of a rig? I couldn't see myself driving anything else. I've grown attached to it. I think it would have to be completely totaled before I could go after something else...

Well, I bought the blue one. About 2 months later Brian put his (now my) rig up for sale. It had most of the mods done that I wanted to do. I thought he had sold it. Turned out he hadn't. 2 days before he put it back up for sale I had purchased another F engine so that I could continue to drive the blue 40 while rebuilding the 2F it had in it. Deryl and I were about to begin tearing the rig apart to swap the engines. We talked about what we were about to do and Brian's rig and Deryl agreed that it would probably be best (and easier) if I could sell the blue one and buy Brian's. So, I spoke with Brian and knew that I had about 2 weeks to get mine sold. Listed it on ebay....missed my reserve.....re-listed it and sold it within 2 hours of re-listing. Same day the buyer bought my rig, I drove to Lafayette and bought Brian's. Don't get me wrong.....I liked the blue one and was fully intent on swapping the engines and learning how to rebuild an engine. But if there is an easier way to get to the end, I am all for it. And in the end, I am really happy with my choice. This one still requires TLC like all of these old rigs but this one was a better starting point for me. I don't see me getting rid of this one any time soon.....unless Lance wants to get rid of that beast of a machine he has now. :grinpimp:

Ya'll quit baggin' on my first rig. It was fun to drive and I still pulled a Jeep or 2 out of a few holes with it. :grinpimp:[/QUOTE

well yea! that`s what Toyotas do---- pull jeeps rovers hummers from where they should not tread :D

I'm looking for my "RECALL THIS STICKER :flipoff2:" for my Toyota's right now. The Media had me ready to blow a gasket last night  Toyota has been plagued with problems for the last 10 years  I can show them otherwise many times over. I guess thats to help GM's stock  Vent off :)

Yes sir, sure do. You up for some sanding and painting this weekend?
Mike, I would love to come help out this weekend but soccer has started and I am swamped--I dont want you to think I am faking out but here's what I am up against. Sat at 7 am my wife and youngest daughter are headed to Sulphur for her Gymnastics meet. I have to have my oldest daughter to Pelican park at 8 for a 8:45 soccer game. My son has his 1st soccer game at 10:15 then he has his last indoor flag football game at 11:40. I coach my older daughters softball team and we have practice from 1-3, then she has a indoor soccer game at 6:20.....Im swamped, then I have to have my oldest daughter in Baton Rouge Sunday Morning for her ODP soccer workout---- You guys have fun wish I could help out..

No sweat bud. You obviously have your hands full. I think I am going to change plans anyway. I think instead of painting the whole truck this weekend, I want to pull the cage, sand and paint it black and then paint the hood, aprons and bib yellow. I can then start sanding the truck after we get back from Superlift and paint it then. Just gotta talk with Deryl about it to see what he thinks. Maybe I can give him a hand with Mean Green since he has apparently torn it apart.

Mike I suggest painting it one time. Once you sand and paint and then resand and repaint you will be hating life. Get it sanded and we can shoot it sunday or one night this coming week. Painting is quick...........sanding not so much

No, that's not what I meant. I NEED to get something on the cage before it starts looking like Sean's. I was saying, let's paint the hood, aprons and bib this weekend along with the cage and paint the rest of the truck later. I will call you tomorrow and we can talk about it.
