Choctaw Sliders

Some of you guys have inquired about the sliders some of us CLC guys are running. James (makes them) says that he can't do them for $150 anymore. $200 is his price. Steel has gone up and he would like to make a little money on these. They are time consuming to make and he does a great job. I have seen these things take a beating and they never fail to do the job. They will come painted and ready to weld on the truck. Still a bargain for $200 and the only way to go for a 40 that wants to run the stock running boards. Let me know who wants a set and I will bring them to the Crawl.

Later,

Thanks Jeff... I'll have to find those pics again for you. They are very very nice. $200 is a good price as well. I'm changin directions for a little while or I would have me a set!

Donny will make these for the cost of steel only. I talked to him this week. He is just interested in helping with our sickness. All you have to show pics or designs. He has all metal working tools, benders,etc........ He has a large shop that would hold at least 5 cruisers. I have watched the wrenching thread and the club's delima with the rain, but he doesnt have ramps for his bay doors....yet. sorry.

Isaac I don't want to dip into Jeff's buddy's business as they've been very good to us and have offered to go out of their way for us but I sure appreciate Donny's offer and we have several guys wanting Donny to look at bumpers and many other things. I think we'll take him on it if he's willing to help that sure is great of him. :)

Thanks again.

My bad. I had no idea. Just wanted to see some sparks. :whoops:

Well put... Wasn't sure how to word the same thing. No insult indended to the MS boys and still want to say thanks to Donny. I don't wanna pee on Choctaw's offer b/c his prices are very very good and seems to be an awesome product. However, I absoutely want to take Donny up on his offer of welding skillz if it stands. I would like a rear tire carrier of sorts and I need a roll cage since it's required and the Troopy has zip!

I'd also like a roof rack such as these guys make:

Thanks much Isaac .. and Donny in advance...

Fine by me...and...still a great deal...ain't worth my time...even with all the equipment and materials, I'd lose money if I took off work even half-a-day to build these! Quite a bargain IMHO. Painted and all.

I'm sending my $$$ up with Dan Tuesday...

Anyone have a spare set of AFT. wheel 8-10" fitting '76 -> '90 Land Cruiser?

Scott, the ones from the beast. Two are off on the trailer but tires are still on it 36's. I can get the other two off if need be.

Has anyone seen the BJ40 in Mandeville for sale on cars.com and do you have any info on it?

When you said BJ40, my eyes opened a little (usually you have to say BJ42 to get mine to widen...) turns out it's an FJ40.

Is this BJ-40 tan with a like red stripe? Is it right hand drive? If so, I have seen it. The owner came by my house after I heard about him through a local mechanic. He said he paid 10 k. It is from Australia. Looked like it had a lot of bondo work. especially around the tub area.

i talked to a dude (handed him a card and everything) who just got one. said he got it from austrailia. he said he only had it for 2 days or somethine when i saw him. it was RHD, tan, red pin stripe, and had a chrome kangaroo style bumper.

edit: this was in the summer...probably the same guy issac is talkin about
