loosing boost pressure

warning lights on dash, plugged into computer an says loosing boost pressure, can hear a slight whistle coming from left hand side, just wondering what the probable cause would be, thanks.

I assume this is the 4.5 Turbo Diesel?

If so, you might get more help posting in the diesel tech section also. This one is dominated by US owners, and while we'd like to help, we just don't have much experience with your engine. There are a handful of 1VD owners here so keep an eye out for posts though.
