I have had all the pieces for over 10 years. However, I am getting old and at this stage of my life I just want to play with my little grandsons and go fishing!

About the truck. The bed is brand new( one of the Colombian ones advertised on mud 10-12 years ago. The cab I bought from Whitey also here on mud. The cab is Australian and very little bit of surface rust. I am also providing a FJ40 dash and firewall so you can make it easier to drive if you wish. The frame has surface rust but not bad, it is also a ‘65. It comes with doors a hood and a roof too… no fenders but they are easy to come by. Also included is a reupholstered bench seat, a new gasket set, and a ton of miscellaneous stuff.

I’m asking $14,000 OBO, these pics aren’t good but you get the idea. I will try and get it down off of the top of the sales office tomorrow.

Btw, the gasket set I mentioned is the body gaskets, not engine… I was developing it with a Thai company but some of it is wrong. It all fits perfectly but instead of a left and right side there might be two lefts. And it is two sets like that! Lots of good trading material there after you take what you need. I believe I still have a land cruiser embossed bezel also…it will go with it.

Give me a yell if you are interested
I wish brother. I was born and raised up the road from you in Grass Valley and enjoyed being a young buck exploring the sierras in my FJ40.

Seeing your location and a dream project is a beautiful sight, just not in the cards for what you’re (fairly) asking.

The top is perfect and original steel, I have 2 cab back panels, one is perfect and one has minor dent on the passenger side, which one you get would depend on if you are paying full price or not 😊
And yes, that is the 40 dash and firewall that comes with it. Btw, it does have a gas tank

Dan, thanks for the tour today. I feel fortunate to have seen everything in person before a builder steps up and takes this over the finish line. You sourced some amazing parts and will give someone a great foundation. I hope to see you again at the Swap meet. I looks like it is on May 30th. GLWTS

I think at some point I was robbed by the fiberglass guy, I had a perfect steel top and used it to make a mold. Then the fiberglass guy turned out to be a tweaker and disappeared owing the landlord. The landlord would not give me the mould, or the 10 tops that were curing when the guy disappeared. Not even when I offered to pay him for them. In the end I got 2 glass tops and I thought the original steel. It is not to be found but I do have a perfect, new glass top. Never mounted.

Dan, can I ask where the tub came from? You mentioned “Columbia” in your first post. Was it Troa, or some other source? Are you happy with it? I’m looking for a tub and tailgate for my 77 FJ45. Thank you.

I think it was from before troa, I’ve had it 11-12 years. It may be from the company that became troa? And to be honest I have never heard of troa. I was not planning on selling it alone but you might convince me.

Btw, I am very happy with the appearance, and it came primered and has never seen paint and more importantly it has never had a spot of rust. I repaired a bed once and that really is key, I had over 200 hours into a repair. That’s why I bought this, 200 hours and it still was not nearly as good.

I’ll PM you. Thank you.
If you want to inquire about any parts from TROA I can help as I’m a small distributor for them.
