looking for strike anywhere matches

NJ hasn't forever
I'm looking to buy a few boxes and if I'm out on a road trip and passing thru its one of those things to pick up .
Great to have around in the car/truck and camper

I find them at ACE Hardware, but that is in Washington State, a bit of a drive for you.

I bought a LOT at a chain hardware store locally - several (many) large boxes (500 or something ridiculous) per box - they had a sale - couldn't resist

If they sell them in Kalifornia, they must be available everywhere 'normal'.... Maybe NJ is even more abnormal than Kalifornia - wow!

We Get them in the grocery store in the Carolina's. We keep them all over, in the cars ,outside ,camp gear. Great to have. If you need I can buy and ship out.

Thanks for the offer , I happened to find some at a local army/navy surplus store over the weekend tucked way back on a shelf in a weird spot . Picked up a couple of 3 packs and just went up and payed for them. I didn't say anything figured since it was a army/navy store the "don't ask, don't tell" policy should be used here

If I had to cross a state line to get BB's I probably wouldn't look back.

Most of New Joisey, the city, is built on top of a landfill - trash from New York. Maybe they worry that it will blow up.

Ohio match company (Ohio Blue Tip matches) is gone but Diamond is still around.

back in the day I used to be able to light "blue tips" (and the diamond brand) by running the matches across my levi's jeans. I can't do it anymore. Of course I blame the matches. "strike anywhere"? not quite...

WC, way back, through the way back machine, the strike any where matches would light when dropped from a bicycle onto asphalt.

You could also put one down the end of the barrel of a bb gun and shoot it at a rock or whatever to some effect. At least that's what I heard, never did it personally.
