I know...probably dreaming here, but getting ready to start on the bodywork for my 79 pig, and am trying to round up some servicable patches. I have sourced the easy (ha!) stuff, found my lower fender patch, rockers, etc, but have some significant damage on my PS rear corner, as you can see. Anybody have a donor that has this section relatively unmolested?

Anyone? NOTE: This is from a 79, with the long horizontal single rear light assembly, so early model donors won't work. I have the new light assy already....

Thanks!

.....just thought you might need a belated MUD salute:):flipoff2:

have you ever used a stud gun?

I bet with mine and a hour of pulling I could get your damage close to being right.

If not, cutting a few large holes in the interior with a plasma and then putting a oak sledge handle in the hole and striking with a 3 lb hammer you could ease it out.

ever seen some of the miracles done at a body shop.....

my stud gun has a shrinking tip and once I get it out I can usually suck up the stretch so the filler ends up being only an 1/8 or so.

you might be surprised and if you aren't you can then regraft the corner.

good luck:)

Uglibus is gone, and the top was chopped so the whole corner was not there...

You could do a lot with a football and an air compressor too! Deflate the football and position it behind the dent. Gently reinflate football and watch the wonders of compressed air pop out the dent!!

I'm not sure how much of that area is accessable from the back though.
