I am in search of an adapter set up from an LS to Cruiser 4 speed. Advance Adapters has back peddled me since February and now told me September - I really don't want to wait any longer so hoping to find either someone who is bailing on a new build or some other option to buy a set up. I was also after a Orion if someone has one hanging around. I am Canadian but have friends in Washington and Oregon to ship to. Any Help much appreciated.

Did ya check with Steve at EBI cruisers in Port Coquitlam he may have a used adapter bellhousing laying around. I could use an Orion also. 😁 Or Dan MARTZ in Kamloops.he has some spare parts.
I haven't checked with Steve yet - Dan only had the old style plate adapter set up - which I currently have as well - but I was hoping for the whole set up with fly wheel and clutch with slave on the passenger side. I am not new to Cruisers but the mix and match of what works to adapt stuff is a bit of a mine field it seems. That said I have always liked your 40 :).

Since we all like pictures this is the rehab project

The Small Block Chevy (SBC) and LS bell housing bolt patterns are nearly identical. Five out of the six main bolts line up perfectly. The only difference is that the LS engine has an extra, seventh bolt hole positioned at the very top (the 12 o'clock position). [1, 2, 3, 4]

Cool build I miss my super swampers. I think I’ll be purchasing them again next time I buy tires.
Pic of when I was putting my junk back together years ago.
I used the old plate adapter also worked fine for me then I just switched it all out and swapped in the sm465. The Downey bellhousing I think is the only one with the option to keep the clutch slave on the passenger side. Old pics of my junk haha.

I didn’t reach out to any of the snow wheelers - but Steve at EBI has a bell housing so that gets me on my way - got the last Orion Advance Adapters had in stock now to find a fly wheel and clutch.
Excellent. Snow wheelers have some wild machines.
