...that allows registries. For my upcoming July wedding, we registered at Kohl's and Macy's. Since we were able to get everything we (she) wanted at those two, I am of the opinion that we should register at an outdoor sporting goods store for a good tent, folding chairs, etc. to make camping enjoyable for the two of us.

She is not what we would call an outdoor girl, but is allowing me to slowly introduce her to outdoor activities. She has gone off roading and kayaking, but is yet to sleep outside overnight. The problem is that I'm equipped for single-person truck camping and overlanding, but to introduce her to the outdoors I will be needing different gear to accomodate her.

So, what places allow registries? Any suggestions?

Thanks!!
Brian

Wish I'd known that:crybaby:

I like the Cabela's wish list, matter of fact I started one! :D Thanks for the idea. Are there any other stores that have either the wish list or registry?

rei, prolly ems, maybe sportsmans warehouse...,

but for your neck of the woods, Cabelas is King.

I put together a Cabela's wish list, and I think that'll do the trick. I've never heard of Sportsman's Warehouse, but there's one 15 minutes from me in Southaven, MS so I'm definitely going to check it out this weekend! Oh, and you all can feel free to get Karen and I any item you wish off of that registry list :grinpimp:

Thanks guys!
Brian

Sportsman's is a smaller version of cabelas. I love cabelas, best customer service on the planet, and they have everything. You could live off a cabelas catalog.

I must be the only one to experience the not-so-good side of Cabela's post sale support/customer service the past couple years. They piss me off more than not of late. Definitely not the Cabelas I used to know...

Seems like they've gotten a little too big...

Nope, your not alone. It's gotten to the point that we only go there as a last resort. Their service sucks.

We've sworn off REI in town as well. A total ban and I've had a membership with that company since the early 80's when we had to mail order stuff from the PNW. That was back when they actually gave you a laminated card.

Jessica and I are getting thin on local places we frequent anymore. Which says a lot because I've always tried to support the local independents followed by the local bigger guys.

Use to do mucho catalog shopping from Campmor, LL Bean, Cabelas while on deployment.

I live 30 minutes from LL Bean. Would be the last place to go for me.

curious to hear about yr REI hate. gots a low digit laminated member card, usta work there myself. it's my last-choice option, but at least I can get the stuff I need ordered in w/o paying shipping.
