I built a sleeping platform in the back of my 80 and i am looking for a thin mattress to put in the back. I would preferably like a full or queen air mattress that is like 4 inches tall. I know i can make a foam one but i would like to have one i can fold up and take up minimal space when not in use. Anyone have any ideas???

Thanks!

We use Thermarests with our sleeper/drawer conversion. They're the cushy ones, about 2.5" to 3" thick when inflated. Since these are 30" wide, two of them fit perfectly across the back of our 80. They do take a little more space than a pure air mattress when stored, but it's not much. And Thermarest comfort and durability beats those in most cases.

I use this:

Cabelas Camp Bed

I haven't tried to fold ours up, I usually roll it but I can tell you I wont ever go back to an airbed. This thing is awesome.

Check out an older travel trailer with a front sofa/bed. They made the foam mattress in sections that would fold up to make the sofa. When in the bed configuration the fabric held the sections together so you didn't "fall in a crack". hard to explain but a simple concept when you see it.

I picked up a full size 4" memory foam mattress at Walmart and it is perfect. Costs about $90.
