Looking for a mechanic

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a 93 fzj80 that has an issue shifting gears. The a442f only operates by manually shifting the gears 1-2-D. I initially thought I had a transmission issue so I took it to a local transmission specialist. He's had it for nearly a month and now is telling me he doesn't think It's a transmission issue and has never worked on these cars.
I was wondering if anyone knows someone in the NW CT area who has experience working on cruisers? I'm trying to avoid taking it to the dealership if I can help it.

I do have a CEL. The code that got pulled says 02 sensors
