I found a beige 1961 FJ 40 with a V8 conversion. It runs great. It has no lift, a home made roll bar system and the back seat I think is out of a jeep. It does have a complete soft top and soft doors that are in really good shape. It's missing the spare tire carrier. It has something leaking from under the dash on the drivers side. I think it is brake fluid or something else that is hard on paint. The rear end has a centered differential so it's not stock. It is toyota rear end, just not the stock 61FJ. I drove it and the rear end needs rebuild. It is just south of Fresno, Ca and the guy is asking $3,000 for it.

I getting a frame from Orange FJ45 this week. If you buy or have bought the FJ in Visalia I can haul it to stockton for you on Tuesday. I'll be bring an empty trailer.

Sweet. It will cost about $1,200 to get it to the left coast but it sound like it would be worth it.

I have actually been talking to the guy with the two tone on the monterey craigslist link. Sounds good, not too far away, not far from being a daily driver, but ...
