Longest overland route in lower 48?

Can't find a forum to post this in, so I thought I'd try you guys. What's the longest uninterrupted overland route you know of in the lower 48? Meaning no pavement, no fences, no gates? Gravel, two-track and trackless okay...

Interesting question.

I know that if you are willing to use a few small stretches of pavement in the Southwest, you can go some real distance, but don't know much else.

Check Trans-America Trail, an off-road motorcycle trail created by Sam Correro
It's going from NC to Oregon. Land Rover Expedition America drove it. Also see on Expedition Portal.

Pony Express Trail would be my guess of a single route. Compile routes or create your own such as the Utah Converse and you could stretch that number
