After installing a Toybox in my piggie I find as expected that the parking brake cable is too short. Anyone ever have this problem and solve it economically? The 55 cables are kind of unique- the threaded end at the firewall slips into a slotted bracket allowing a good degree of adjustment at that location. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks, Shmukster

72ish fj40 cable. cut the mounting plate off the threaded end. should work. IIRC that is what my friend did on his FJ55 with a v8/auto.

Raybestos BC93796 or BC93804 The four speed one is slightly longer, but cheaper. Either will be too long by a foot or so, but you can use an FJ40 parking brake backing plate(cable exits DS) so the cable has to re-route across the trans to use up the extra length.

Yup, I'm running a 40 cable on mine with the doubler...
