I know that is not the common system in the US specs 80 series .. but if you see the high beam are fine .. but the low beam it's horrible .. !

Do you mean it does not have enough light output or the light cut-off is not good?

Anyway, I "think" I recall Landpimp saying that he was satisfied with either a Cibie or IPF replacement's performance. I hear that anything that is European "E" code approved is pretty dang good. I have heard that some people who have done the quad-light conversion in Japan saying that they have had good results by going to/with Cibie.

Good luck!

The issue in my case are the reflective ( back ) part of the lamp .. appears dirty, dull it means poor light ..

David,

The factory Koyto round and square light fixtures are terrible. Replace them with Hellas H4.

Yap .. ! Henry has a set and offered to send them to me .... :D

If the wiring harness on your FJ80 is anything like a 62's, you will need to upgrade the harness to run H4s, if I recall correctly.

Not if he runs 55/65W lights. The bulb is the same. Better glass. Have I mentioned that Koyto sucks on square and round lamps....

They did a much better job on the 80.

I hope .. !!! :D

Then CSA would be right. You'll need a light harness upgrade.

FYI, the Cibie 4x6 lamps are much better than the Hella's. I have run both in the past. You can get these through Daniel Stern, although there may be better low cost options.

I remember paying $100 for all four of these lamps back in the early 90's.
