I'm looking to get the cruiser lifted and have decided on the bilstein 6112 and 5100. My car is stock no plans for bumpers and really my DD. I don't need a ton more off road performance more for a better firmer ride on road and a bit more off road performance. That being said I was gonna go with the 600lb front springs. The question is what rear springs to go with. 2721 vs 2722. Any real world lift numbers? I currently have the Trd 17's with 285-70-17 tires. 2721's are progressive but advertised as no lift. Anyone have any experience? what about the 5160's are they even available? and do they fit?

I'd call up slee and see what they have to say.

7022 on white 7020 on gray. 7021s are an inch taller than the 7020.
I'd say it's more of a choice between 7020s to get the smallest lift and the 7022 to support more weight and get a little more lift.
I've got a set of 7021s for you're interested pm me. That's the pic of the gray LC alone below. The rake was too much and I didn't want the front any higher.
Let me know if you want more pics to compare. They've all been posted here before. Just search my name.

arich, can you clarify your post? you say the 7021 are an inch taller than the 7021? and you clarify which trucks have which springs?

Christo talked me out of 2722's and into 2721's and I'm glad he did. Until I have my rear bumper, drawers, etc, the 2721's have been perfect. Once I add rear bumper/carrier/drawers, 22 or possibly 23. But without? 21.

Fixed it. Sorry. And it's the 7021s that I have in the garage and the 7020s on the truck.

So, are the OME 2721 actually NO lift? I have the 2722 with a stock load and I seem to get much more than a .75 inch lift out of these. The ride is a bit too harsh for my liking on a daily (unloaded) basis but I keep getting hung up on the specs of the 2721 having NO lift. I want some lift with a softer ride than the 2722. Thanks in advance!

Here is a photo of the lift I got from 2721's... As you can see, the difference is quite significant:

Before & After (Top=stock, bottom =2721's)

that looks great, do you know how much lift you got in the front compared to stock?

If you're asking me....

-Right around 3 inches in front, or just a hair under now. I actually had more at first, but only because they left the preload on the coilers too stout (ARB sends them set for a full bull-bar/winch weight...so you need to back it off to about 5mm, or you'll be in for a rough ride).

Thank you all ,for sharing your experiences ,it helped a lot for giving an idea .

@Markuson I love this truck, what are your coil over settings and did the OME2721 help you level the truck out? Thanks!

Thanks! My truck looks VERY different now, but I do like the lifted stock look I had at that point. That's with OME BP-51 setup, and 2721's.

In the above photo, it's level...BUT...the coilspring preload in front was set too heavy at that point. It's all about how much extra weight you've got...and when fronts went on, the preload was left to factory preload--which assumes heavy front bumper and winch. So I dialed back preload, which greatly improved the ride, but left some forward lean.

Remember, that empty, you should have some forward lean...since loading up with gear in back will lower the rear ride.

You can add strut spacers in front, but I chose not to do that. Strut spacers add lift without requireing additional spring tension via preload. Opinions vary on their use.

Another truck to look at would be @kreiten's rig as his is set up is stock bumpers, but looks BEEFY in a good, non-crazy way.

Thanks @Markuson!

21's are progressive as well..... I upgraded to 24's with the rear bmper and might have my set avail ( pending )

I really liked the way they rode and they had no issue handling the extra weight of loaded drawers etc.... I ran a 10mm OME spacer on top of them to get a bit of extra lift... the 24's are almost exactly the same height after the extra 400lbs of the rear bumper, spare etc... and ride GREAT

Do you recall if the spacer was the front or the rear OME? I believe it's the rear, but wanted to confirm as I'm about to install 2721s this weekend and want to have a spacer on hand in case I don't get enough height. Here are the 2 in question (description online is wrong - one is front and one is rear):

Rear Coil spring spacers 10MM

I got mine from Slee - have another set in the wrapped so let me look tonight. I assume it's the "r" version. the "F"'s are for the 80 series I'd suspect...( the rears are the same across the 80,100 & 200)

What size tires are you running here?
Those were 285/70/17 or about 32.5”. People call them 33’s, but actual mounted size is 32-32.5ish.

After those I ran 35’s…and more recently 34’s.

Thats exactly the size i just installed, but now need some lift. Did you have any weight in the rear in that pic? And how did you like the 2721s?
