been actually trying to use the search button. found some stuff, but
can anyone confirm what kind of mileage they get in a 1st gen 4runner with oversize tires and gears?
post up gears, tires, and mileage please.
trying to figure out if i want to include lifted 4runners in my search for a classic daily driver.
in my search for a vehicle, have been writing off anything with a lift cause i thought it would kill gas mileage.(which i obviously want to keep as high as possible for a dd)
but now its proving difficult to find something that is not a piece of sh*T with no lift.
what do you guys know?
thanks

cool. so it sounds like the added weight of the tires is not really effecting the gas mileage as long as it has been regeared to match.
thanks for the info

I usually get around 15mpg or less. It's a brick going through the air. The engine is worn out. The tires are heavy. It also runs at a higher RPM at any given speed versus stock. At 55mph I'm right around 3300-3500 RPM.

I like to go fast too. :D
