wont say who ownes it.......but his name is someplace on the front of the Troopy....;)

Marv imported it, Steve Radl did the "resto" and the paint was fixed by the current owner(see above)

its in chat now and thats not what he asked(at least on the post I saw), he just wanted to know if it could really be a 84 Troopy, he was upfront with what he asked and why he asked.

i remember that rig being posted on here a few weeks back with a 'what is this worth. my boss wants to know' sales pitch... can;t find the thread though...

I have seen this one first hand. It's a 84 . Most of the rust has been taken care of. It's not 100 percent rust free. I wouldn't have said any thing about this truck, but you can't say some thing is 100% rust free when the body seams have rust on them. I find it hard to beleave it came from Saudi Arabia . It had rust bubbles on it before being fixed for the second time. The paint only looked to a couple of years old. Saudi Arabia is a dry place why would it be rusted areas on a truck that was already restored. This truck most likly came from south america. I would say the first time it was painted the rust was not taken care of.

With this said i would still drive it. LOL :steer:
This truck gives me wood evey time i see it.
I don't know who made the dash board peice but it's very cool.
It's hinged on top and you can store things in it.
This is a nice rig will be interesting to see if it sells for $40k or more. The body looks very nice know. I need to find out how you can titled it as a 64 . In oregon is just has be be like 75 or older to be deq exempt. You still have to take the auto to the dmv if bought from out of state. ?????????

May be i can title my fj62 as a 1964 so i don't have to take it though the deq:hhmm:

look back at the pics from Marv 2004 trip(when he got this troopy BTW) to Saudi.......lots of rust on those rig in the boneyard

I had a troopy from saudi arabia. It had rust.

Just cuz it's from Saudi Arabia doesn't mean it's immune to the laws of chemistry.
