That pic of it plunging into a river, that was purely for photo purposes wasn’t it? I mean why would anyone ever think it’s a good idea to ford in a river at such a high speed throwing water everywhere?
Some more lighting upgrades. Bought some clear corner marker lights. I've got a nice factory driver side parking marker light for sale if anyone wants it let me know!
Smelled some gear oil one day so i crawled under neath and saw fluid everywhere underneath. Kept searching and found a hole in my front differential. Out it comes. At first I wanted to rebuild the diff and add a front locker, but i couldn't justify the price. After searching for a week for used, new, rebuilds etc, i found a new in box complete differential. Thanks to a fellow member here on mud he led me to the unit on craigslist in Ohio. Im not sure what led to the failure, but the miles on the differential and the trail use in my owner ship was the likely cause. I never heard a snap crackle or pop, and i couldn't tell driving it there was even an issue.
a piece of the ring gear broke and pushed a hole in the front cover.
Now is a good time to change the rear differential fluid and transfer case fluid as well. The fill bolt on the rear differential was boogered up so i replaced it with the 10mm allen head magnetic plug 12157-10010 and a fresh aluminum washer. No pictures if this.
Bought some new hid low beam headlights from The Retrofit Source | The Best HID & LED Projector Headlight Upgrades Their location is local to my work so i went by one day at lunch and picked up the kit. I went with Morimoto Elite 50w HID system in 5500K at the advice of the representative there. If youre interested in lighting solutions they are the people to talk to.

Well we loved the lx so much we added another lc to the fleet. Traded in the wife’s 2016 Silverado for a 2015 land cruiser. Out with the old in with the older, but better as we all know.
My friend got his skid steer stuck and we tried to unstick it with the lx but we knew it was a long shot. Didn’t even budge it. In the end our neighbor saved the day with his new holland.
Went riding/exploring some forest service roads for a few hours with a couple LX owners up in Johns Mountain area a few weekends ago. Was good meeting a new mud member. @JT4runner @MongooseGA
