Need Rocker Slider Help

I've gotten with my welder and we thought about going with 3" square tubing but I've gotten myself a little confused. Please pardon these questions but am unable to get my rig to his shop (that will change this month). If we fab up the outer step slider...what is the need for the curved piece that Lou and Heather ordered from IPOR? Is it fitted in the place of the rocker and then the slider welded to it? Or do I weld the slider somehow to the frame?

Sorry for dumb questions but I really need simple answers (for this simpleton) to make progress. Thanks everyone, Dave

Dave; the ones Lance fabbed for us do not have the "Nerf bar" type steps..........look just like the original rockers BUT a heck of a lot heavier duty.....double as sliders; HTH :D

I've seen the IPOR "sliders. They just match the factory curve (without the wheel well lips), but were 1/8 to 3/16" thick or something. You can chop out your old panels, or weld it on top of your old panels.

I have 2x4" (0.188") rockers welded to the body of my pig. I'm pretty happy with them-- they support the entire weight if necessary and allow me to pivot to turn really tight on rocks. The length would vary depending on how far up you cut the old rocker panels; grab a tape measure and measure it. My only regret is that I did not take advantage of having that big tube there for adding more ridgidity to the entire body

Steve AKA Eventhough clued me in on my lack of understanding. Always amazed at the selfless help of Pig owners. Honest to God, I feel sorry for those who have not discovered this forum!!! Dave
