So, after searching it seems as though some of you guys have gotten your LED replacements from George at sbc global. The bulbs seem great.. but expensive ! Any other alternatives to replacing the normal bulbs in the dome lights with something brighter?

You will probalby get a few more responses like mine but here goes anyway. I just put in George's LED and it is a HUGE differance in light output. Expensive? Yes, but definately worth it. His customer service was very good as well. I ordered it on a Friday at 10:00pm cst. I promptly recieved an e-mail stating he would get it in the mail Sat. morning - which he did because I recieved it on Monday.

thanks for your input.. would you say adding the LED in the cargo area is enough of a difference that I may not need to add a LED "strip" style light back there ?

It is enough for me, I was suprised with how much of a differance it made. I don't know what you are looking for but in my opinion it is enough light.

George is at Taskled.com

I'm sure you can find cheaper lights, but they won't the the quality of George's. Plus, if you ever had a problem with them, George will stand behind his product. When you order cheap $7 LEDs from "RicerCarSuperStores" on Ebay from Hong Kong - good luck with that. Plus, George is a Cruiserhead. I know a lot of folks new to 100's don't get that, but we try to support in community.

Just found it George's URL Forward I think. Only took an hour.

I just Googled "George LED". His site was the first hit.

I did not think to search "george led" I went with the "led replacement land cruiser" "Dome light led" "Domelight Landcruiser replacement" when all I had todo was know that george was the guy. I bought the ones above last night. Cant wait.

On fitament:
DE3175 in our LC100 dome light is not exactly interchangeable with the 3022 that all of the LED aftermarketeers sell as an interchangeable replacement....

I just received a pair of 3022's from superbriteleds.com and they light up nice but my socket won't hold it!

The OEM (mine were Toshiba's) festoons have a little uh nip on each end of the lamp, this is required to keep the lamps in place or they just slip, slide, pop out... The superbrites just have the conical shaped ends but no additional protrusion... The superbrites don't fit the 100! I bet none of the standard 3022's out there do.

So, $30 for the one that fits, with quality support and real voltage regulation is probably the best way to go afterall... I recommend you call George at Task LED.

Oh well, I'm off to solder new ends on the "interchangeable" 3022's. Don't do as I do but rather do as the rest of the board suggested in the first place!
