It is ironic that Riis say's "I made the call on Basso".

He is considered to have had the best "drugs" by the peleton when he won his tour.

I guess reading some articles it's all still acusations at this point but now there is the "race ethical code" your booted for.

If your accused you're guilty til proven innocent. Would we expect anything less from a french race:eek: :D

A Frenchman has not won in so long, it is their way of levleing the field. :D

Mr. Toad I would like to hit the Pyrenese with all the Basque people in Orange. I know i'm in Paris for two days and we might hit switzerland on the way over to Germany. I'll have to figure this stuff out. I'll keep you posted on here I guess. I won't have a cell phone on me or anything, so this will have to be our medium for communication.

The one you want to go to in the Pyrenese is thursday July 13th with the finish at VAL-D'ARAN - Pla-de-Beret. That'll be a PAARTAY;p

Hmmm if I can make it. I'm on my families schedule... but my mom said if I wanted to do something outside of the family then do it. I think we might be heading our way back from Germany. We come back to the States on the 15th I believe.

Jeez. You've got to wonder if someone's going to start squealing to stay out of jail. If so, I suspect a s***load of other "clinics" are going to be revealed.

Doctors, start your shredders!

The "riders code" has been in place so long...

It is odd, I have cyclingnews.com and velonews.com on my daily read list, and from the time that Tyler got dinged I only really read to see who is the next one to fall.

I have been involved in this sport for almost 25 years and it just seems to get worse with the dopoing. Heck, at the '84 Olympics the US national team members "boosted", and back then it was not cheating just not ethical.

I am getting to the point that they need to create a super-modified division is sports. Let them injest whatever they want. All those athletes are then prohibited from reproducing in the normal human population. This would be the start of a mutant race of human/gladiator. :D

There was a letter to this effect in VN's mailbag today. I agree. I also agree with another sentiment in the same letter:
these racers have never tested positive, so dope testing has been proven to be a joke. Why are we wasting resources by continuing to test?
I think we've been watching your mutant class race since 1991.

Yeah yeah, innocent until proven guilty blah blah blah. Seriously, if these documents are authentic (ask the doc under oath) what more "proof' do you need? What is 'proof' anyway? How about DNA testing the 100 blood bags from Operation Puerto? Is 'proof' discredited just because the witness doesn't like the doper? If so, then the solution (to avoid eyewitness testimony proving you guilty) is to be sure everyone hates you, then none of what the hater says is credible. Scott Peterson is sitting on death row on less direct evidence than exists against the top tiers of pro cycling.

Isn't that called wrestling ;)

I say let it go too... After watching hamiltons doping issue I'm still out on testing and it's reliability. Of course he trying to prove his innocence, besides don't they test the riders. They should ban them upon testing positive not on linked allegations.

my pick is Levi :D

Hamilton's name is involved in the current Spanish investigation, his career is over.

Cadel, Popovich, Salvodelli, Menchov & Landis have a better shot than Levi, imo.

Bobby Julich.

He finished 3rd a long time ago. With Basso out, he could be a dark horse contender. He's fit enough to help Basso, but now he doesn't have to. It would be a wonderful swan song to see him get the podium again.

EDIT - he finished 17th last year, working for Basso...
