Sweet! I'm leaving for Europe tomorrow. I'll be in France I believe sometime next week. I'll have to check out the tour schedule. I'll have to dress up all in Orange just like my Basque bretheren and run around in the Pyrenese!
 
I always root for the Americans during the Tour. Hope George or Floyd wins.

Where are you going to be, weeny? I'm planning to catch some of the third-week stages in the Alps.
 
You guys should try to catch a thrown water bottle or lunch sack. That would be the ultimate!

One of these years, I'll make my way to France to watch a stage of Le Tour.

aint that the truth.. I'd settle for a musette bag over a waterbottle or other crap. I keep tellin my sis to grab me one but she's not into it. Even when they were in her home town of Amien. :rolleyes:

The tour is a literal parade of swag. You wouldn't believe the merchandizing and advertising that caravans the route. They give stuff (bottles, musettes, maps, etc.) away like Mardi Gras balcony boys lose their beads when the Hooters float rolls by. I think your sister just doesn't like you. :flipoff2:
 
Speaking of Le Tour. There use to be the women's tour. When did they stop doing the women's Le Tour de France?

Jeanie Longo use to dominate that field. Was it too brutal for the ladies?

Anyone know?

This is going to be a war of attrition......at the starting line! With many of the big guns out then it will be wide open for the top ten.

Wonder what will happen if further names are released after Saturday?
