I've got a 99 LC100 with 196k. I accidentally pushed the center diff lock button while driving. I've used it before with no problems engaging and disengaging. This time I stopped and hit the button again to turn it off. The light when off but when I put it in gear it went nowhere and I could hear the front drive shaft spinning and a grinding noise (not severe). I played around and looked under it and the front driveshaft is spinning when it is put in gear. The LC does not move and if it is in park it still rolls around.
I played around and when the center diff is on the thing works fine. In high or low. And the rear lock works fine. The only problem is when the center lock is off. It won't move and when in gear the front shaft is spinning and I get a grinding noise.
Ideas?
