Found this very nice 1978 Fj40 today. Owner Jeff Hanks has spared no expense. This fj was a frame off resto with the body and frame been blasted and painted. Spray in bedliner and a rebuilt 2f running on 35 bfg's. Jeffs family owns Northshore Toyota so you know this fj is top notch. I hope Jeff can make it out to hang out and join us for some outings.

Is that the same one that they used to have at the dealership? It was red and I took some pictures and posted them here when Toyota came out with the 200 series. I am going to try and find those pictures......

Yes it is the old red one they had at the dealership.

Mike sent these pics of Chuck Huebner's 40 at TV10 :) I saw it at Southside Bakery last week. Looks good

This BJ use to be for one of Armond's friends I believe. I saw it at a bar in New Iberia Wednesday and left a card on it. Still don't have the front driveshaft on it.

Been seeing this one at Phoenix International in Bayou Vista for several weeks. just got a chance to stop by, but the lady in office wouldn't call him out the yard, she did tell me he just moved here. I did leave a club card for him with my number on the back.

has a jerry can/spare holder on the back, looks really good.

I do not know who the 40 is for but the Cherokee is for a freind of a friend. I will ask them who drives the cruiser.

Nice I hope we hear from them, any word from the Taco owner from Sunday?

My buddy still owns it. He also owns that bar! The crazy thing about that missing front drive shaft is that my buddy is about as mechanically as anyone I know. He just has a penchant for starting many projects but completing few. Oh well it's still a sweet BJ40!

just saw a yellow 40 with a bikini top in franklin on mainstreet by the courthouse. anyone from here?

Found this 1982 Fj40 today as the customer was taking delivery. Well I kind of chased the tow truck down. Well it is owned by Chuck Garvey here in covington, who says he would like to join the club. He bought a 1982 FJ40 all original with power steerring and a/c/ It was and will be even nicer here soon. He has some rust on the hood, fenders, aprons and bib which he will be replacing. Then it is off to get a new paint job. Looking forward to seeing it completed.

I keep seeing this thing at a coffee shop in Davenport. Decided to stop in today and found out it belongs to the owner of the shop. He's not a car guy and thinks he wants to sell it. He says it has a wobble in the front end. He took it to an alignment shop and they told him that the front axle is probably bent because his caster angle is off and there is not way to adjust it. It's clock says 170k.

He said he booked it for $4k but doesn't think it is worth that because of the problem it is having. Coincidentally, my wife is looking to get rid of the van and get something more truck-like. Are you thinking what I am thinking or do I have high hopes?
