I just got my 4Runner back on the road after a fresh engine rebuild, I have noticed that at idle and some rpm ranges an engine vibration, could this be due to the poly mounts? The Engine idles well, no misfires, nothing.

Stock Engine except for an Engbldr head with bigger valves and a higher lift cam, nothing radical.

IIRC LCE doesn't recomend using their mounts for a daily driver vecause of the vibes and noise transfer.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought, I spoke with LCE at the time of purchase, wish they had told me this.

I read it on their product catalogue information, it's easy to overlook, though.

I tried poly mounts once, they rattled the cab so badly I couldn't stand it. Went back to OEM mounts.

Isn't this true of the poly t-case mounts also? I really like the mount, but would like to swap the poly for rubber for my DD. Sorry for the mild hi-jack

i just rebuilt my engine and trans a few months ago. I replaced both the motor mounts and transmission mounts.
I did not go with poly for the exact reasons above.

I did however use a OEM replacement rubber. Got them from Parks auto parts. They are Anchor brand. (orielly has em too)

They looked solid and have been quite nice so far.
IIRC the motor mounts were 70 a piece and the transmission was like 65 or 75. dont recall. But either way it was much cheaper than OEM.

Oh, and just my two cents, I would be weary of mixing rubber and poly mounts on the same drive train. The different elasticities / stiffnesses will cause differing amounts of deflection under load. (i.e. transmission resists movement under torque while engine is twisting more due to weaker mounts)
which can cause what they are mounted to to crack. i have seen it happen.
