What are you doing to your truck last minute for the First long weekend? Ive got my wiring harness completly torn apart both sides under the hood looking for a short. Lame.

see you guys saturday night:)

Skipping the long weekend in an atempt to fix an exhaust leak by adding turbo:confused:

Skipping this long weekend and dropping the truck off for a 2F and H41 swap. Did a Merritt camping/fishing trip last weekend to make up for missing the long weekend.
Hey Dan, calendar says there's already been 2 long weekends this year :flipoff2:.

Skipping this long weekend and will hopefully get up enough gumption to fill up the one flat front tire, so it looks pretty under it's blue tarp in the driveway.

But I did get around to bleeding the clutch a few days back, looking promising! And if I'm feeling rich, I still need to get a new battery. That ones fubar'd. I did the "light" test Martin suggested, and nothing lit up. So no apparent short, but that's the beauty (and why I hate electrical) of it, it's probably not shorting when I "want" it to.

Trying to figure out how I'm going to duct tape the trailer to the HJ, get a 4-3 trailer harness adapter (in 24V) re-lamp the trailer, hook up CB, Ham and GPS...

Can't help you with the duct tape Phil but it doesn't matter about the voltage for the trailer harness. Just change out the bulbs to 24V. Do you have a voltage reducer installed? If so then just get your HAM in and your antennas tuned and forget the CB for now. I am not doing my stuff until it dries out. If the output shaft seal is the source of the leak, it will be unlikely I will find a seal before the weekend anyways.

The trailer problem (aside from not having a suitable hitch) is the trailer uses a two lamp system (combination brake/turn) and the 'cruiser uses a three lamp system (separate signal, brake). Even after I procure an adapter, I still need to change the trailer lamps to 24V. I agree on the CB/Ham. And I won't need a GPS to find the camp (hopefully).

For the most part everything that is not working in the truck will not be fixed by the weekend and the things that are working will hopefully stay that way until after I come back. Took the trailer hitch off the back as it was sitting too low and would scrape, did the alcohol shopping today and food tomorrow. GPS is loaded up with maps and working.

I did a semi permanent mount for the C.B. on the altimeter, now I am getting another 12v outlet off my SUREPOWER converter for my SIRIUS and retorqing my 1 3/4 rear wheel spacers. AND applying Duct Tape where necessary.
