Actually it may not be directly under the step but I remember it being close by. It's been awhile.

Well, I spent 20 min and couldn't find it :hillbilly: @Fisher23 do you have a pointer to where this is? From some reference point like the t-case, cats, etc.? Or how big it is?

Attached are a couple pictures.
If you slide under the passenger side 2nd row door near the rear, and forward of the rear right tire.
It is just forward of the body mount.

1st pic shows location, and 2nd pic shows it.

It is very visible from under.

It comes out inside near the edge of the wheel well panel and you can just fish out out without removing the inside panel.

Hope that helps.

Funny, I don't seem to have that grommet. I have a blank that I think is in the right place however. 45mm diameter. Right down from the front door handle (just ahead of it). Same grommet on both sides but the driver is a little harder to get to due to the kdss pipes. If you pull this out and stick your finger in you can push up on the carpet to the side of the seat. Perfect to run the cables and mount the control box under the seat. I have a couple of different grommets on order to fit the cables I need to run.

Right/US passenger seat has a good amount of room under it. Also close to a switched acc source (cigarette lighter in console).

Maybe you still have room on the right side firewall grommet? You can also go thru the grommet itself, don’t have to use the preexisting nipples.

Tried that, too big. At least without butchering the main entry of the stock grommet. The grommet in the pic above should be just about perfect to run right in under the passenger seat. Just need to get the righ size grommet.

from my experience….

In the second row floor near the door there is that textured flat area. With one with diagonal lines and a small round manhole cover you pop out to expose a screw….under that is a small flat grommet much like the one in your picture.

It is also seen in the “Project 200” airbag install YouTube video. That one I’ve used but once you put the panel on it pushes down on that area so you get a bit of a pinch.

At the rear most area of the car in the rear corner under the large quarter panel is a larger grommet with a large wire loom running thru it. That maybe useful to you but you have to remove the rear quarter panel to access.

I’m running a bunch of wires and I’ve already used the 2 nipples on the passenger firewall grommet.

I’m gonna crawl in the passenger door well and see if there is a good spot to drill a new hole in the firewall and use a good quality grommet/sleeve to run the new batch of wires I need.

Anyone drilled the firewall on a LC200?

Nice, although I'm having trouble envisioning speeding in a 200. I couldn't afford the gas to drive 80mph.
Oh come on, I get about 14 at 85MPH, surely you can get that done....Lrahelps for non stop trips of 350 miles at that speed.
