I'll be in the Langford area this weekend visiting family and was wondering if there are any interesting "outdoorsy" stores (that we don't have in Vancouver) that I could go raffle prize shopping at for next months CC club meeting.
Typically several ~20$ ish prizes that a buncha boozy cruiserheads might want to spend $5 tickets on.

Cabella's would be cool, but not really interested in the 1.5 hour drive to Nanaimo each way.

I wish I could help. Usual time wasters for me are Princess Auto and Lee Valley.
I can highly recommend a stop at '6 Mile Pub'! One of the oldest pubs on the island, and I think
you can see the occasional land cruiser there if you posted a time that you might be resting your
butt on a stool.

I try to avoid Langford, so don't have any really unique ideas. Lee Valley Tools, Princess Auto, Westshore Spring/4x4, as well as lots of big box stores. If you go into Victoria there is MEC, Island Outfitters, Capital Iron etc.. Hopefully someone else who lives out there chimes in.

Oops, I see cruiserpilot just beat me to a couple of the same stores, haha.

A store that is often overlooked but full of interesting stuff is Trotac marine off of Jutland road in Victoria. Even though it is a marine store, it has tones of interesting stuff that crosses over. Lots of electrical components, rigging supplies.... the list goes on. My perspective of my LC is that it shares many traits of a boat... endless pit to throw money at for starters!

princess auto has a good surplus section where you can find some cool old military ammo boxes, good for stashing tools, recovery gear and such

There is a capital iron in Ltown.. there is an outdoor store up in mill stream village by visions electronics can't remember the name... good luck if you are headed downtown vic.. I always try avoiding going downtown..

Now, if you do decide to drive up to Nanaimo let me know. PM me. I might be able to
get ahold of a friend who is at Cabela's. We could talk direct; I'll see if I can see if he would be in position to
offer anything up.
