Well you can probably check things out on Facebook, a bunch of the people already posted pictures (I will get on it shortly) but we pretty much did:
1. I hiked around San Jose and hung out at a hostel with a pool for my first few days before the tour, just to get acclimatized and get a hang of walking around in a spanish country. first night of tour out on town getting drunk
2 tour started with rafting and heading to stay at another town
3 repelling down a creek and water falls
4 volcanoe hike but was raining so we couldn't see f all
5 dinner and hangout at natural hotsprings
6 mountain bike around lake by volcanoe, again cant see volc because of rain and clouds. bike included boat trip once done bike part to other side of lake.
7 after bike bus to another town where we had a barbeque at a local ranch and then head in for some beers on deck of hotel
8 morning hike in cloud forest first day of sun where it always rains!
9 afternoon ziplining over valley and then more deck drinking and out to local pub
10 morning bus ride to pacific coast to take ferry and out to surf camp. bus took long route over 4X4 only road
11 get an evening surf lesson in then beach party drinking well into night
12 surf in morning after breakfast on own
13 sit around drink beer and chill in shade
14 surf lesson in evening and more beach party dringing into night.
15 wake up early with surf instructors to get the good surf in morning hit some big waves
16 have beer and ciesta
17 walk the beach in afternoon, too tired, arms falling off by now to squeeze another surf before leaving
18 bus to san jose for late into night drinking and going out to town which I don't really want to type on internet but you can ask me about the next time we are sitting around the campfire ;)
19 rent car to drive to caribean coast (okm on car and no plates-yay me I say)
20 traffic cause road to coast shut down so sit at road side restrant to drink few cervesas
21 get lost but make to party town late, have dinner and few cervesas so can wake up early for sunrise and drive back because running out of time (wanted to go snorkling)
22 wake up walk up beach go for swim, jump in car and head back to san jose
23 stay one more night in hostel and then plane home party over.

That pretty much sums it up.:hillbilly:

Well you can probably check things out on Facebook,

Facebook? Pretty soon you'll be adding cup holders, and coils to your 60. Or buying an 80. Got twitter yet? :flipoff2:

On a serious note...Thanks for posting up pictures of your trip. One more thing for the bucket list.

Like the BRT picture. Whats the LWT behind it?

gb

No cup holders (although I do confess I have thought about putting beercan holders in my 42 before), but I do have coils on the mine truck;) No 80 and no twitter. I am actually pretty proud to say I have never seen a tweet!:hillbilly: And BRT? I googled it and all it came up with was Bad Rapid Transit or something like that, and I don't get the LWT either. Please explain.

Very nic pics on FB. Looks like a lot fun stuff. Jealous cause I didn't get to see monkeys when I was in C.Am, or zip line, or rapel waterfalls... I need to go back :hhmm:.

Nother year or two if you can take a few months off, I'm in for a road trip! ;) I just need to find a spanish speaking co-pilot:hillbilly:

I would be happy never to ever see another damn monkey (aka tropical tree rat) again. They've given me the worst year of my life.

Creo que tu necesitas una copilota - femenina - para hacer la viaje mas divertido. :D

If I ever get my energy back again, my dream trip is to drive down as far South as I can go in South Americas and back again - provided Lety & I don't decide to just stay. I figure it would take about 2 years to make it an enjoyable trip and I would probably have to sell the house to finance it. But you only live once. All I have to do now is convince Lety that two years on the road would be fun.

BRT=Big Red Truck. M23 INS and has the hose in the back.

That camperized 45 on the HDJ chassis is the best of both worlds in my books. Probably has a cup holder in it too! Drool machine.

OIC, now clarify which Little White Truck, the Landcruiser, which I am guessing was an HZJ79 and was being used by the city work crews to repair powerlines. Or the crew cab, cabover Toyota pickup probably diesel (most things down there were diesel and lots of underpowered gas jobs and all the cabbies were little toyota diesel cars)?

OICWUM. The LWT behind the BRT. Thought maybe a call was going on, and they were both in the same location due to that. ATWMG is. :D

Damn, lets get this back on track...looks like a great trip.

Cool, you show me some non-touristy s*** and food and beverages on me ;)

Mental pictures are some times best because it's tough to take it all in through a lens ;) Although photos are nice to help us remember those mental pictures when we grow old! :hillbilly:

Nice, Thanks.

I think I saw a lot of those cruisers that you took pictures of as I think I probably travelled to most of those towns you mentioned. Good job on all the cruiser photos, you definately have me beat.
Cheers,
Deny
