Hi guys-
I bought Dirty Joe Rice's beautiful 1988 FJ62 for my son on Friday night. It's in great shape and I was really happy to buy it from someone here on the board who is IMO a really great guy. Joe kept meticulous records and maintained the truck well. The body of this truck is exceptionally straight and after removing the bull bar for some priming and painting you would never know this rig is 22 years old. I'll post pics asap but quite honestly I'm buried and write this post while working another Sunday so it may be a while.
One item on this rig that needs immediate attention is the throttle cable. Can you guys point me in the right direction for OEM or quality replacement parts for OE?
I feel like the luckiest Dad on earth today after getting a big hug from my son this morning before leaving for work. He loves his truck and was camped out in the back of the rig just relaxing and admiring his handy work after spending some 8 hours on Saturday detailing it. I can't wait to load up both his rig and mine and head for Anza Borrego.
