If I recall correctly, it was fairly well centered along the steering column. I feel like it was closer to the steering wheel itself as opposed to being towards the front bumper. Post #14 above has a photo of the wiring harness that feeds into the relay (your basic tab-press-to-release) but it's too close to not give you the full perspective of its location. And, it was unobstructed, so it wasn't like you had to have monkey arms & paws to get to the relay itself. Contorting yourself on the floor of the truck, around the seat, and over the door sill itself was another matter 
I also remember seeing other posts that had photos, even discussion on this very topic, e.g. 'follow the sound while your blinkers are on' and that sort of thing, but I can't for the life of me find that thread. (for me, the sound was actually misleading and didn't work well for my install, but worth a shot?)
I'll keep digging to see if any old threads turn anything up, but hopefully you're able to find it - sneaky little devil but easy enough to pop out and get your LEDs running as expected.
