Took my boy out last week for a little wheeling/fishing/camping adventure before he's back to school. Here are a few pictures of a pristine area in central Vancouver island area. Stayed below at a river site by a smaller lake the first night as we arrived too late to wheel to the main lake. The main lake is accessible by what is now just a quad trail. 70 series is narrow enough it can make it also. Usually I camp at a spot in the forest there, but the lake was low enough and trail well used enough that I decided just to camp down at the lake. Kept the area clean and in better shape than it was when we arrived. Couple videos below too. One of a slide area that is a bit sketchy to pass through - although locals seem to be keeping it well maintained. Other is me leaving the lake shore.

Despite there being a resident osprey nest right above the camping site, there were still tons of hungry trout up there:

Super comfy sleeping with lots of room in the cruiser:

Leaving the lake. Had to go straight after the little ledge to release rear locker, then could turn.

I experienced sympathetic bunghole puckering during that last vid...

Haha, yeah, I was feeling it there while off camber.

I've heard the 12HT has a touchy throttle while wheeling. My 2LTE is pretty bad too - which really didn't help much at that moment. I turn down fuel as much as I can while off road which does help quite a bit. But it's still a bit jumpy.

Haha, 12ht has a touchy throttle all the time.

I'm going to experiment with a damper on it one of these days, when I run out of major things to do...so like, 2024

Cool trip! My little guy is getting to that wheeling/camping/fishing age. Looks like a great spot, we'll have to talk about that area and getting out there.

Right on; I'm up to heading out there any time!
