Figured I’d make a post in regards to this brake booster off Amazon / eBay. I only saw one other forum thread about it and he said it lasted him and was a good deal. Figured I’d give it a shot.
Monday after work, on the way home, my brake booster went out. Mega hard and solid pedal, was still able to come to a stop luckily. Got home, made sure the vacuum hose was still attached, used my smoke machine to make sure there was no leaks from the hose or fitting, nothing was clogged up.
Found this booster for $60 on Amazon, and then same one for $39 on eBay directly from the company. Labwork is their name. Im not planning on owning this truck for more than a couple months so it would do the job. 4 days later I had the booster, installed it and wow my pedal feels incredible now. The whole braking is system is now brand new within the last 2 weeks. New master cylinder, pads, brake lines, etc. when I did that all two weeks ago I bled the brakes but the pedal just felt all mushy. Figured it was part of the “80 series have crappy feeling brakes” now I’m realizing it was probably the brake booster telling me it was going to give up soon.
With the new booster in, the pedal feels strong, firm, but not soft or hard to press at all. Feels like a newer vehicle with a normal braking system.

$39 also includes the shipping costs which are likely $20. That leaves $19 from which the manufacturer and the vendor will extract their costs & profits. So in all likelihood you are trusting the brakes on your truck to a part that probably cost $10 to make. Have at it....
