The plan is to go Saturday, Sept 2 until Monday, Sept 4. We only need to know where everyone would like to go. The following 3 locations where put out as posible destinations. Please vote for your choice above.
- Big Silver Creek
- Little Hut
- Beyond Pemberton

Your feedback will determine the final destination.

Could some one please post up a discription of each. Thanks,

What following three?

That's right punks! I voted past Pemberton, right past Prince George, all the way to the Peace Country!:flipoff2:
See you all out here on September Long, suckers!

you pay for my gas and I'll be there

Buy a diesel and pay for your own fuel!

I do own a few diesels
1978 BJ40
1982 BJ42
1984 BJ60 insured and a full tank of diesel
1985 BJ70
1987 HJ60
1989 HJ61 on it's way

but I still like my FJ40 Gasser the most.

Then bring the BJ60!

no wait, too many rust holes:flipoff2:
Maybe a trail parts truck:idea:

Those are speed holes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they're engineered to reduce drag and help direct air to cool the rear brakes

I might take the BJ60 actually, we'll see

Well, its August 27 and it looks like only Steve T, myself, and maybe Mat are the only ones going on the Long Weekend run. In that case, we are free to re-evaluate where we want to go. If this is our last summer run, I'm in favour of going farther, say up to Birkenhead or Duffy L or Seaton and make a good run out of it.
I never got a response out of Garry B in Squamish. He is no longer at his phone number, he hasn't replied to recent emails, and I've left a message at his work but to no avail. He may be busy dealing with Squamish problems to do with the oil spill. In any case, its unfortunate because the idea of going to Little Hut was to take the club up to Garry's area, rather than usually going in the opposite direction, and letting him show us around. I guess its just not to be.

OK, I talked to Garry B tonight, and he wants to go wheeling on the weekend. I suggested we meet at Shannon Falls at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning and then move on to Garry's place on Mamquam Rd. in Squamish. So it looks like Steve T, Bill W, Garry B, Mat, and possibly a customer from Steve's. We'll do Little Hut and other areas around there, then move on if time permits. If anyone else is coming, let's hear it now.

We really enjoyed the trail ride last Sunday, it was a hoot. I wanted to thank everyone for their patience in guiding this rookie around.

I have a question, we have lots of kids, is it taboo to bring them on trail runs, do people mind???

Kim.

Well if we can't bring kids on trail rides, than Steve's not allowed anymore. You should have seen (and heard him), blasting that kids music and scaring away all the wildlife.

But seriously, kids are allowed. We are one big happy family. Some discretion might be in order depending on the run is all I might add, such as the duration of the run (all depends on the kids and how cranky they get being stuck in a vehicle for hours on end) and perhaps how dangerous the run might be (vehicles falling off the edge kinda thing....not to mention any names...koff..ROD...koff koff..MIKE).

Jeff what are you talking about I didn't fall off no edge.I just tetered alittle, there was no falling involved!
