My brother's kids are in town so I'm thinking I'll take his 15 year old son down to KS Rocks this coming Saturday (27th). My Dad might ride along too. Anyone interested in rolling down, let me know! I've never been.

Looks like my rig will be full. My 11 year old niece wants to go too, and I think my dad might take the trek out with us (He used to ride around in the woods in [I think] a military Mercedes Benz truck during his special forces days in East Berlin, Germany before the Wall came down "keeping tabs" on the Russians, so I think he'd enjoy it too).

Looks like about 1.5 hours drive time, so thinking about 8 am on Sunday from The Legends area, and then meet up locally and head down. We can be pretty flexible though too.

Haha, I wish! We stick to the bunny slopes! I can't wait to go out there in a locked and fully armored rig on 35s... It'll really change up how I see the park.

Looks like my Dad will bring the kids to my house on Sunday, so we should be ready to roll around 8 am on Sunday morning out of Overland Park.

@half k cruiser I can bring the lights and brackets you have stashed in Lenexa. There will be some riders that could drive your rig down or back while you napped if you want to swing through KC to meet up with us.

That'd be fine! I'm at 103rd and Antioch, but 103rd is closed at 69 HWY, so if you swing east to pick Jack up and then head out, that'll work fine.
Wish I could join ya. I've been there many times. However, my truck is going to be in the shop for a while getting the head rebuilt. The trip to Texas proved to be too much for the cheap unreliable valve guides.
You guys are kickass ! Let me see how what the little wife has planned for us. I'd like to come down there.

@FZJ80 in KC and @Robkc - Should we make the Quiktrip on 135th and 69 (just half a block east of 69) the meeting location once Rob and I meet in the AM? I figure I'll bring the cooler but probably would need a few drinks to fill it (hoping the ice will stay from Saturday).
