Has anyone used this brand? Particularly for the inner axle seal. Does anyone know if they make the OEM ones? I tried searching about the company and it looks like theyre from japan. I would go OEM but i have no time to wait, need this done today and napa has those seals. Thanks.
 
Everyone is going to tell you it is a risk they would not take.
"Act in Haste, Repent at your Leisure" comes to mind.

Did you get a full rebuild kit?
 
Agreed, drive to a Toyota dealership if possible. It's not like you're going to blow your engine if you go with the non-OEM inner axle seal, but you might have to go back in and replace it with an OEM seal sooner than you'd like. Like within weeks if the KP one doesn't seal. If you have no other option, than it's easy - just go with the aftermarket. If you go KP, though, you'd be wise to get a couple Mr. T seals on order to have in the garage in case the KP ones suck. That's my two cents.
 
Best inner axle seals I've ever used are the Eco seal that Marlin crawler sells, I put them in my mini truck about 7 years ago and when I blew out my DR birf the seals were still working flawlessly!

Some have not had the same result in the '80.

I got a full rebuild kit from a local toyota dealer but it did not come with the inner seal. Anyone had this issue with a full kit?

I might just go this route and order OEMs too. Thinking about doing this to compare, just to see if we have a good other option incase oem is hard to come by because napa has them in stock. Ill post again if i decide to go with the KP brand. Thanks.
 
The KP I got from SOR was made from noticeably different metal. The grain of the metal appeared not as "tight" as the oem and it didn't feel as rigid. I held it next to an OEM seal that I purchased a few days later and threw the KP in the spare bin.

Inner axle shaft seal for you as well? I was about to get the kp but i called around and 1 dealer has it available. So i just went oem. I was planning to go to napa tomorrow to compare the new oem to the kp one but since you already have experience then i wont check it out anymore. Thanks.

Yeah...I was in a hurry to get the inner seal done to go wheeling with friends, but it turned out that my OEM order arrived in time. It didn't take long to notice the difference between the two...don't even bother with anything other than OEM on this seal.

Good thing a dealer had it in stock. Otherwise, i couldve made the mistake. Thanks for your help.
