Koyo vs. NSK knuckle bearing

Interesting reading. Useful information.

I bought the Marlin set. It has the NachI 30303 bearings like those pictured on the left. I put them in and they seem to fit. Should I be worried? My rig will be a daily driver and light offroad. No serious crawling or anything. Sorry to resurrect an old topi.

I pulled these from another thread but, the difference here are illustrated exact same. My old bearings were NSK R17-8A not these pictured.

sorry for reviving an old thread but it pops up when I search knuckle bearing information so maybe it'll help someone else
The low-taper 30303R bearing shown is different than the 30303D that toyota specified for -81 60 series
The 30303D seems to have a taper more similar to the TR0305A(F4), but the TR0305A(F4) is what was inside the box for 90366-17001, specified for 02.1981+ 60 series

So from my research (take with a grain of salt), seems like 30303D is fine, but TR0305AF4 is probably better. If you have 30303R (seems like some people received these in the past in Marlin kits?) I would not use.

Furthermore, seems like toyota superseded 90366-17001 with 90366-17007 which seems to be a Koyo TR0305C-9, but this interestingly does not pull up anything on the Koyo website. Only TR0305AF4 comes up.

Please take this all with a grain of salt, this is just my personal research, I'm not a parts expert.
