Hey guys,

Im trying to figure out if these tail lights could work as taillights for the lwb 45 series. They are new old stock that someone I know bought off from Toyota as a lot. He had no idea what they were for and before he bought them, Toyota scatched/marked off the part numbers.

What I know:
They were 24v originally, but lightbulbs are not there anymore.
They are non USA, as I got them in central america.
Koito make and Toyota boxed.
They come with small embedded circular reflector on the red side
They measure roughly 10" x 3.5" lenses and 10.5" x 4 1/4" with the housing.
We have a pair of these.

Im gauging interest to see if anybody is interested as I am planning a trip to the US in a few days and could bring them up. Sorry I couldn't post more pics as mud wont let me :(

Maybe not for FJ45, but listed in my 1967 book for FJ40(Aust). Well pretty damn close apart from the 24v and some extra screws.

Try this for size: REAR COMBINATION LAMP (For Australia) {*USA need not apply :p}
rear combo 1.webp
rear combo 2.webp

Asking US$50.00 each plus shipping... sounds reasonable for brand new OEM toyota rare lights. I could ship them to oz but have no idea what it would cost or how to do it.

Hey Giles,

You know, I still have them! As a matter of fact, I think I have a third one as well, in exactly the same condition. Because of my love of Toyota stuff, I decided to keep them for the future. But if you are interested I can sell them to you. Either 2 or 3 if you would like the third one.

Note that I was never able to figure out what they were for. From what I remember they were not exactly the same size as the ones of the back of the 45. Very similar looking but not quite exactly.

Where are you located?

mate you are a total legend,,life saver,,yes please can i have all 3,,will need to be shipped to the Uk if thats alright. they are from 1968 FJ40 from OZ which I have 2 for restoration so your 3 will be a massive help

Im glad to hear they are good to you. I like your project a lot!

Im now located in Honduras, Central America. I will probably have to wait for a trip to the US to have them shipped from there, as I'm afraid the shipping from here may be prohibitive.

Now, are you sure these are what you are looking for? I kind of remember some OZ guys had said they were not too sure these where what you say they are. I wouldn't like for you to go through all this and at the end find out they are not what you are expecting. I mean, Im very happy to sell them to you, but just make sure you know all the info beforehand, buddy.

Let me know!

Hi mate

Yes they are defiantly the right ones, you really have done me a big favavour as I don't think they are easy to come by. When do you think you will next be in the US

I have them now. Still unused.
Unfortunately they are for a Toyota fork truck rather than a Land Cruiser. A costly exercise indeed. The are a little larger so don’t really fit the rear crossmember dimensions. Would be perfect for a trailer or forklift ;)
