I've had several members state the knock sensors are plug and play and also some who suggest soldering is necessary. Thanks for any clarification

they are plug and play for 93-97 but the soldering you hear of is if one is busted. you can often repair one with a broken connector (most common issue) by soldering on a pigtail and connecting it that way. what exactly are you trying to do?
