Key Fob Question - Deleting Keys

Hello!

I recently got a set of keys made for my 01' LC. Keys were cut and cloned to the car. Locksmith could not get the fob to work. Tried the programming procedure (driver door open/5 lock sequences) both with the lock/unlock button and by physically moving the lock/unlock. No luck at all!

Keys work and start the truck just fine. I am assuming that there are too many fobs tied to my truck? This might be a simple question but if I do the delete procedure of keys will it wipe out my newly cloned keys?

I don't want to test if it will. Again keys work just fine except for lock/unlock and panic button. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

There's two separate programming things - transponder to start the truck and fob for lock/unlock. Ideally you should use Techstream if you're unsure how many keys and what functionality they have.

That was going to be my plan. Just need to figure out the easiest way of installing it on my old computer. Thanks!

Is it 01+ or 03+ that can do the Techstream thing. Anything before it Techstream will not have the option.

My LC came with just a metal key and no FOB... it's a 2000... what do I need to do to get a FOB? Does a locksmith have to program it or can I DIY?

Programming the fobs is fairly easy. This is the best video I have found explaining how.
