Key comes out of ignition in D, N, or R

I am new to my 2005 LX 470.

When I shut off the motor with the transmission in D or N, it allows me to take out the Key from the Ignition.

Is it not supposed to allow me to take the key out from ignition ***ONLY*** when in Park?

Your key may be worn - you can get a new one cut from the dealer if this bothers you
