I love quality in what I pay for just as we all do. Recently I bought some parts form Kevin in Canada for the first time who is making the much hard to find parts for the Toyota FJ45. I am rebuilding a FJ45 and starting on the bed, tail gate in this situation. I just wanted to give my 3 cents worth on his product......Out standing.
That's it, he deserves more recognition on his product so if you have a project that uses his product I would like to see and hear about it.

Well deserved Email to Kevin:

Got back last night, neighbor had parts from delivery, put tail gate together this morning with no problems at all. Usually one has some kind of modifications or major adjustment with parts, all I had to do with the mount was cut the lower end cap so I could slide the mount up on the one side and weld the cap back in place, the rest was easy. The front bulkhead panel also fits like a glove.
Tail gate rust cutout/new panels welded in/surface filler
Nice job on the parts Kevin.

Will be contacting you on more parts soon.

Cheers

parts/bed

At this time I have only removed the old bulkhead and tossed it. I can take a photo showing of what is required for removal before and after as in spot welds and such. New bulkhead is not installed yet. Raining here give me a day.
Thanks

Kevin's much talked about headache rack (some assembly requred) welded by me.

beautiful truck..

i really want to buy a headache rack for mine too from him at some point.. he said that he wanted to take a break for a while after all of the beds are completely done.. i can wait for quality though..

Bed Parts

Cirbo, nice job on the rack and the truck. I need to know the color as I am still debating what to paint mine. The rack he makes is incredible.
kellyo, as you requested as few photos as the rains have ceased for a bit. The real pain is removing the spot welds but it is an act of love so one gets over that. Other than a bit of grinding spot welds off the deck, its a piece of cake.
Hope this helps.
Anyone install one of Kevin center floors?

Thanks

The truck is now Dune Beige. I have no clue as to the origins of the lift. The front springs appear to be HD SOR's, and the rear springs had Mitsubishi stampings that lead me to believe that they might be stock?

Kevin's stuff is top notch.

parts

68volfan, how are you. yeah Kevin is a pro with the Fj45 bed parts. I still have that center section to replace, along with some cutting and welding on a few body side panels and I think it will turn out decent. I am also considering installing a military 101 trailer box latter. Hows that bed of your doing. Is it with the same problem areas as mine. Shoot us a photo of what you have.
