the sides of the kaymar bumper are not supported/tied to the frame. place much a lever against a high side protection hoop and it will bend. This scenereo is why slee, hannah, and 4x4labs tie the wings of the bumper into the frame

thinking of building out side of bumper or sticking some angle iron on it and calling it a day! both would be the mount for a small hoop.
Thanks - wow that bottom bracket really is close. No issues with the carrier flexing an hitting the truck? As much as that thing does flex, that'd be my concern with the 1" clearance. Never the less - nice work!
