WOW!
Another great event!
Cottonland was represented well at Katempcy this year.
As usual at least one night of a event the Cottonland Camp was the place to be.
The who's who of Katempcy came through and signed our club tent.
Gary Coberley with his fly 45. he also spent a whole day spotting most of Cottonland and many others around waterfall.
John D. Hale and Butch Baker came by.
Some guy from California who drank alot of my beer and was lets say INTENSE on the trails.
Georg from Valley Hybrids of CA.
Woody of IH8MUD and many new friends stopped by.
Todd Shirley and Mark of Mark's Off Road played guitar till the early morning hours. The Violent Femmes was a hit thought out the camp. Thanks guys.
Our fearless leader Bodean sang with the John D Hale Band and got the words right this year. Lori made the 12hr trip with Jeff this year and witnessed Bodean's escapades first hand.
Greg, Spivey and J.O came over in Greg's 62 and were their usual selves.
Greg broke his junk.
Spivey never took a shower.
J.O. patiently took it all in, saying very little. Except to say never eat the potato salad.
Clutchee was around. To busy working registration, handing out raffle prizes and seeing everybody to spend much time in Cottonland's camp. He also seemed to be dancing alot. kinda like a leprechaun.
Jeff Davis and his superfly Orange 40 towed by the dump truck was there and had a huge time. Made him a deal on a cage while he was there too. He needs on REAL bad.
Werd made the trip from Montgomery, Al. Took him 17 hours to get home. Werd fought carb issues the whole weekend and wheeled hard.
Todd "Bill Riley" Moseley came down from Memphis and drove his 80 up waterfall like he was going to WalMart to buy a loaf of bread.
Lenny and the Zuki crew left Tuesday for a event that started Thursday. These guys seemed to have a hell of a time. Lennie broke his junk on Friday worked 24 hrs on his junk to wheel it for a couple of hours Saturday before the sunlight left Katempcy.
I fought carb issues. But the Marlin of Marlin Crawlers showed up and rebuilt the carb on the tailgate of Davis's dump truck.
Marlin saved my weekend!
I had him autograph my glove box!
Den Mom Deb with much appreciated help from Lori kept us fed. She took lots of pics and I will post up a link to them this week. We have over 1000 pics.
This may have been the last year at Katemcy which is real sad. It is a shame that we may never get to do Aggie Highway or WaterFall again.
Lonestar put on a great ride. Butch and his team did a outstanding job.
Thanks Cottonland for bringing me in to the fold and getting me into this. Weekends like this are what memories are made of.
Very Cool stuff.
