Was time to move on from my trusty 05 LR3 with 192K miles. Found a 2013 LX570 with 111K an hour south of us at Toyota of Keene, NH. Have always wanted a 200-series LC but for what we'll be using it for couldn't justify the spending the extra 10-15% over an LX. One owner vehicle, full service history at Lexus dealership, body is 9/10 interior 8.5/10. Vehicle spent its life in Maine so there is some undercarriage rust. Will be taking it in to a local place that specializes in rust elimination/prevention next week for them to have at it. Have already deleted the driver's side second row and jump seat to accommodate our two Rhodesians - Used a 2.2 ohms resistor to ensure the airbag light isn't glowing. Picked up an ARB RD1045 drawer and side kit to house recovery gear. Dropped a couple hundred on gear oil for the diffs and transfer case and have a new set of 275/60R20 Yokohama Geolanders G-015 (with snowflake) on the way (the stock Latitudes are downright dangerous in snow with low tread lol). This forum has been very helpful so far and I'm looking forward to contributing what I can. Also, I'm in the firearms industry so if anyone has questions about that subject feel free to DM.

I'm in the exact same boat! Wanted an LC, couldn't justify the increased cost over the LX. Just picked up my '14 LX570 a month ago. Love it!!! First thing i did was put Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's on it. They are awesome!

What size did you go with for the tires?

275/55R20. I was worried about rubbing. There’s a lot of info on here about tires sizes and rubbing. I wish I would have done some wheel spacers and slightly larger tire. I believe this is easily accomplishable just need to find the right sizes. Also, different tire MFG are slightly different in their sizing. They are all very close but when worried about rubbing you should look at exact tire diameters.

I did a bunch of research on tire sizes here. If the 275/60/20 Geolanders rub it will be close so I think it would be relatively easy to massage the plastic. I saw reports here that BFG K02s in 275/60/20 don't rub so fingers are crossed...

My Miata came from Toyota of Keene. I hope you didn't give them your real email address, they will spam you for life, no matter how many times you unsub.

Where are you going for the undercoating? I use AutoMedics in Barrington, great place.

Let me know if you need a hand with anything. Sounds like we may be pretty close (I'm over near the seacoast).

They assured me no spam...not holding my breath. I'm up near Lebanon and have an appointment with Upper Valley Line-X in Caanan on Monday. They use NH Oil Undercoating products. I've been impressed with the work they've done on my LR3 over that past three years. Any areas in particular they should focus on with the '13 LX?

The important thing is they are using the NHOU stuff, the place I use does too. I would deliver the truck with the spare tire out and all the skid plates removed. Just extend the spare winch all the way down, loop it around the crossmember and ziptie off. If this was an LC, I would say to focus on the KDSS valve, but you don't have that to worry about.

If you have the time this weekend, I would get the truck up on ramps and spend as much time as you can on a creeper removing bolts, anti-sieze, and replace. Various 12 & 14 mm wrenches, a cordless impact driver is also a huge help. I did this on mine, every bolt I could reach got the treatment, took me several hours. You don't wanna do this after it's been sprayed, it will be a messy job. Thankfully it's supposed to be warm, mid-40's.
