Hello
One of the clamps on the wire that goes between the batteries has given way on my BJ-74. The part # is 82122-90K03. I can order one from Amayama but before I do, I am wondering what other folks have done? Has anyone found one at a tractor or heavy equipment supplier? Bolted on a new clamp to replace the broken one?
Thanks!
Peter

Peter,
One alternative is to have a local shop build you a replacement cable assembly. Take your old cable to them to function as a pattern. They will cut the cable and swag clamp ends on to match your original. The shop closest to me that has this service specializes in batteries/starters/alternators.

Also FYI, when I worked in the maintenance shop for a trucking company, this is how we would replace battery cables on the big rigs. Build replacements on the spot using the original cable as a pattern.

Good luck

Normally I would suggest using wood shims and duct tape while someone held my beer but the above suggestions are probably more prudent in this case. :)
