Wow... What a GREAT weekend and a great run.
By the time we got to camp on deer valley, we were all BEAT!! That was another long day of wheeling.
I've gotta say... Running deer valley back out... It's a different trail and a hell of a lot of fun w/ some good challenging runs.
Overall, the trail has changed drastically, IMO. It was almost unrecognizable.

I'd like to do deer valley again in the fall. The bugs won't be as bad then.

Also GOTTA give props to curt and John.
Curt for getting that lil fj cruiser up a particularly NASTY section of trail.
John, for overall thinking he was over his head, but pressing on and wheeling very well while despite his fear of the obstacles.

Great pictures everyone. I didn't take any pictures, so thanks for getting some.

We had a blast and really enjoyed the trip, well except for the bugs. They chewed Darcie up.

Jack

Joe and I had a great time too.

I managed to break the cross member my wrap bar ties into on the last little obstacle on the trail, the one after we had lunch. Didn't figure out what the problem was until we were in Woodfords and Joe jumped up and down on the bumper while I was under the rig.
Probably a good thing we bailed before the Deer Valley part of the program.

OH YEAH!!
That was lucky nothing happened w/ that!! Wow!!

Sorry to hear about the cross member. But.....at least we were mostly off the trail. If you need help let me know-I know a great welder:D

And I thought we all survived with out any carnage--that is a fun little trail. Not so stocker friendly as we thought:hhmm::steer:. Kudos to Kurt and Jack on getting through with out any sheet metal crush and John for getting back in the wheeling saddle.

Thanks for posting the pictures Keith and Kurt.

Made it home fine but almost slid off the road cause there was so much hail on the pass road:eek:. That would have been a weird headline.

Looks like I missed out on a good time! I was planning on taking my 4Runner but after seeing the photos it would seem that something more... "substantial" is required for the trail these days. Last time I was up there (last year) it did not look nearly that rough.

I think you'd have been just fine, Harry.
You got the skills behind the wheel like jack which makes up for build. As jack and Kurt proved.

Now that looks like a good time!!
