Yep- annual boating trek to Silva Bay and a 5 rib prime rib on the BBQ with the VitaMix doing the fresh margaritas...

I went up to Barriere for the holiday and helped out on the uncles log home build and property. Chinking a log a home sucks. Stopped in at farmer Dans new place for a visit on the way up, great property. Good place to grow a healthy crop of 'cruisers 
My apologies Andrew, I forgot you had moved to Kamloops and didn't get your message until late into the trip.
On my blast home, I found a gorgeous spot on the southern end of Stump Lake. Lots of room for a big camp out. There was even a Loon floating around in the bay, making it that much more excellent.
Not sure how much longer my transmission is going to last, had the light come on a couple times on the way home. But let it cool down each time and carried on. Could definetly smell some toasty fluid though.

i ended up picking up a camper on friday and Georg, Chris and I headed out on saturday morning. started off from the east side of harrison, to west side road. camped at kewick lake for the night and headed to lilloet the next day. Chris had to leave as he did not have monday off. Geoge and I continued and took bridge river road to carpenter lake and camped at marshall for the night. the next day ran into a friend of mine and his crew took us to the old pioneer camp. at that point we (at least I) had enough. took the hurley can came back home.
didnt really take any pics except this posing one. i'm starting to get to know the new rig pretty good. she is very well behaved and crawles/climbs awesome. just check out the position of the driver rear wheel and you get the picture. pretty nice for a stock rig with 5400 kg cargo capacity.

that picture doesnt look that hard , but my little truck could climb that corner . look at the box above the cab not the tire id say .that was better than a foot of flex just between the cab and box.
the camper is a Zepplin ACE I raido box. its from German military. this one was brought it to feel the market but the price was too high so never sold. its actually brand new. i'm going to start camperizing it this weekend and hopefully it will be my home for the summer.
this almost too cool and too bad it cant be used for its intended design. its a fully welded aluminum unit and very well insulated. the door feels like one from a submarine. it also has a ventilation system and a diesel heater that feeds from a standard nato jerry can. there are also mounting rails on 5 out of the 6 inside walls, roof and ground. everything is modular and adjustable. there is a nice table and a bunch of lockable storage. there are also two sealed battery boxes that vent outside. check out the HK rifle holders. i think the one on the right is for your bazooka. there is also a board for the next attack plans. you can tell how water proof it is as its been sitting outside for almost 5 years and the inside still looks like a hospital. a raido geek would go nuts over this thing.
the inside width is 75 inches and thats exactly the length of as single or twin matress. i will probably put a bunk in the back right about the heater and go from there.

I got off work at 08:00 Sunday morning and we went glamping a little way up the Nahatlach. Came back Tuesday. For a long weekend it was not as busy as I feared, but there were a number of folk up there. The drone and dust from ATV's and dirt bikes just racing up and down the main road for the hell of it was a little much a couple times. But in the evening it settled right down and there was no one else camping where we were, which surprised me.

Back on track, it was my anniversary, so we
spent the weekend in Tofino. No wheeling. Actually we took the car... But as for cruiser content, I do have a cruiser bicycle!

My four day weekend started in Nahatlatch with a day on the river and a day at the tower then met up with the Polish crew and did the Windy Ridge Trail.

No wheelin' but crusin' Alleyne Lake for Rainbow. Wicked rain/thunder in the evening.
That is a surprisingly large amount of frame flex, especially for such a heavy duty truck. It doesn't look like the stock suspension has a lot of travel but you still manage to get all wheels on the ground.
Well by now you all figured out that Robert, Craig, Rob H., Kim and I went for a haul. Rob and I stayed the longest for just about a week and a half. Explored some trails that were on both of our lists but never got around to check out. Fire lake was nice, pity there was no camp at the lake but it's an easy trail up with good views and a short couple minute hike down to the lake. Worth to take a canoe up there and go fishing or just explore. We did find a new trail with a lot of potential but I'll get into that later.

Nice to see people are getting out. I haven't even done a single camping trip this year 
Hope to have some more time this fall. I have put the 40 back on the road for the summer. Got out for a little exploring of the area with the girls on the long weekend: at least one of them is always excited to go places, the other has only so much attention span before the plush comfort of a nearly 50 yr old cruiser makes her miss half the trip...
