OnX calls this one a 6/10, take that with a grain of salt but expect tight, twisty, rocky trail with a few medium obstacles. (OnX ratings for goose lake and whitetail res are 5/10)

Sliders will possibly pay for themselves on this trail. 33’s and a locker will get you up no problem, no lockers and good wheel placement will also probably be fine!

Nobody will be left behind as always, we’ll work as a team to overcome adversity. And have a bunch of fun while doing so!

I am planning to make this a day trip. There is plenty of camping at the lake for Saturday night for those interested.

*Bring Bug spray and a chainsaw if you have one

this one is a great one guys, there are plenty of easier lines to navigate thorough in the rocky sections. there is a big hill with a bypass. the LX walked right up it with the right line so i think yall can find some entertainment. BRING BUG SPRAY. expect middle of the night windstorm coming off the lake. Try and explore the other side if the water isnt to high. ( by foot not driving ;))

ill try to make it but cant say anything for certain

Just FYI I did try this trail last weekend and it was blocked by a lot of downed trees and had quite a bit of snow as well.

I was solo-ing it and only had one battery for the chainsaw so I turned around and explored the rest of the forest to look for some dispersed camping but I didnt find much

I'm in! I got lots of bug spray. Stocking up on bug spray for the Goose Lake trip.
Not sure about Friday night. Ah darn, indecision is my middle name. I will camp Friday night at or close to the meetup and Saturday at the lake.
Any one else?

I'll pass on camping at the Berkley Pit, Geo, but appreciate your sense of humor man. Chainsaw/s loaded and driving the 80 (35's, open & sans sliders). We will stay up top Saturday night.

Huge shout out to Ian for the assist on diagnosing a bad starter!

Great trip y’all, Caruthers trail is so fun- just rugged enough to be regularly thought provoking with a few tougher spots that test the truck a bit.
Way cool bush fix of a trans cooler line, also, glue tread valve stems apparently are now required in every kit- they’re amazing.
12 Jeeps=5qts transmission fluid

Ratings wise, for the future- I don’t think this trail is harder than goose, but not much easier?
