So far we don't have a ride scheduled for july or Aug. You all interested in putting one together? Some of the choices are Royal Blue,
Golden Mountain (Golden Mountain Park), Windrock, Cullman AL,( Cullman County OHV Info), Tracy City or?

Let me know what you all want to do?

Has anyone been to Cullman yet? It's relatively easy to get to from Memphis.

I'm interested... I had fun at the Cove, Golden Mountain looks interesting, Cullman is the closest, and I'm not familiar with any of the other places.

FYI... I live in Cullman. I've not heard good comments about the stoneylonsome park in Cullman County located on HWY 69 west of Cullman, before you get to Cold Springs. There is another park that's privately owed in Cullman, called Wilborn Trails.... I have heard its great for 4wheelers and has trails for all types. I've not personally been to either place yet. Wilborn Trials is located near Hanceville, AL which is south of Cullman on Hwy 31.

I don't know much about the vehicle trails at Stony Lonesome. All I know is they are still cutting new trails. Also, I am not sure if the facilities for camping are up and running yet. Some of the DLC guys are heading up to ride on June 20th. I am going to try to make it, if I don't have to work.

some of my friends went to Golden Mtn last week. they liked it and from the pics it looked like a fun place.

I know it's a little out of the way for the rest of the state, but several of us from Memphis are going back to Hot Springs July 17th-19th. I'm bringing a window unit for the tent :hillbilly:, but the KOA down the street has mini cabins with AC that sleep 3-4.

I don't think I would make a special trip to the Stoney Lonesome Park in Cullman, AL just yet. We were out there two weeks or so ago... I think the park is still growing and many trails are not marked on the maps. Mainly just trials cut through the woods. If the ground were wet then it certainly would be a mess/muddy. But the day were there it was 96F by the time we left around 2:30PM. I've not yet been to the Wilborn trails location (also in Cullman County)...will see what that's like soon.

See some pics over on the AL section.

Well then I guess it's Golden Mountain Park . Currently I have the weekend of July 25/26 and all of August open. What works best for the rest of you.

Upstate cruisers are having their Over The Mountain Trail Ride (formally held at Tellico) at Windrock on Aug. 20-23. Todd and I would like to ride with them, how do you all feel about making it our Aug. Ride instead of Golden Mountain ?

I am thinking about going especially after blowing some money on new trailer tires....I am lucky I only lost one back and forth to Katemcy. Hopefully, I can finish this PS conversion in time.

I will be there for a short duration...probably early Friday to Saturday afternoon.

Rob and I have RV spaces reserved.

If you are planning on attending you might want to reserve a space ,Home, tell them you are with the Upstate Cruisers group from SC and they will assign you a space in that area.
